David Demaret es un artista francés conocido también por el sobrenombre Moonchild, que ha trabajado como ilustrador durante más de 20 años en el mundo de los videojuegos y otros ámbitos. Como muchos artistas de esta industria, suele centrarse en los campos de la ciencia ficción y la fantasía heroica o épica medieval, siendo un enamorado de HP Lovecraft, Moebius o el universo de Tolkien (El señor de los anillos, El Hobbit). Ha participado en juegos como Duke Nukem 3D, Elder Sign: Omens, Driver, Rage of Bahamut, King Kong, The Lord Of The Rings o Ghost Recon. Entre sus otros trabajos, ha realizado ilustraciones para cartas y portadas de libros o revistas.
